Lady Fortunes® Creates Cookies for Discovery Channel's 9/11 One Day In America

Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, Discovery Channel released a six-part limited series 9/11: One Day in America which premiered on August 29, 2021 on National Geographic.

Lady Fortunes® was chosen by the Network to create cookies to send to over 400 Fire Stations - including the 218 Fire Stations in NYC- to commemorate the solemn day. The cookies were a rich Bourbon Vanilla Sugar Shortbread Cookie, hand cut by Lady Fortunes® expert bakers and individually wrapped in eco-friendly glassine paper bags and finished with a biodegradable and compostable custom label featuring the Discovery Logo.

The cookies were hand packed in kraft boxes printed in vegetable based inks and eco-friendly packaging materials were utilized like krinkle paper and starch based packing peanuts which completely degrade in water.
